How Biz Zen Canada Began
In 2013, Biz Zen’s founder John Macaulay happened to strike up a conversation with a wealth advisor about buying and selling businesses.The wealth advisor had business owner clients who were at a loss about how to transition out of their enterprises.
These clients were just the tip of the iceberg; hundreds of thousands of owners in Canada will be looking to sell their businesses over the next few years. Without help, many won’t be fully rewarded for the years of hard work they’ve put into their ventures.
A business owner himself, John recognized that an online solution, done properly, would provide Canadians with the tools they need to buy or sell businesses. With his expertise in digital marketing, he knew how to build the right platform and promote sellers’ businesses to the the right buyers online.
Buyers need a place to find sellers with businesses ready for sale. Sellers want to connect with serious buyers. And most need the know-how to do it right.
John reached out to business owners, professionals and investors. Based on extensive feedback and advice, they developed a solution that would give buyers and sellers what’s really needed to effectively complete a sale.
Biz Zen Canada was born.
